FAQs

We’ve answered some of our most common questions to help make your insurance journey smooth and straightforward.

If you have any other questions, please contact us or book an appointment to speak with one of our insurance advisors.

Is price the most important factor when choosing insurance?

Price is important, and we always make sure you’re getting strong value for money. However, not all insurance policies are the same — coverage can vary significantly between insurers. It’s just as important to understand what is included in the policy as it is to look at the price.

Our team will take the time to understand your circumstances and identify which covers matter most to you. We’ll then find the most competitive policy that still meets your needs. There’s no benefit in choosing the cheapest option if it doesn’t protect you properly.

How can I pay for my insurance?

Many policies can be paid monthly via direct debit from your bank account or credit card.
You can also pay annually by cash, cheque, credit card, BPAY, or direct debit.

In cases where an underwriter does not offer monthly payments, we can arrange premium funding if required.

Can you send my certificate of currency to a third party?

Absolutely. Just provide us with the details and we’ll take care of it. We can send a certificate of currency to anyone who requires it, whenever you need it.

Can you visit me in person to discuss my insurance?

Yes — and in many cases, we prefer it. Insurance can be complex, and meeting face‑to‑face helps us gain a clearer understanding of your circumstances. Visiting your premises allows us to provide more accurate, tailored advice.

Do you charge fees or receive commissions?

We will always provide you with our Financial Services Guide (FSG), which outlines any commissions and fees before you make a decision. We’re committed to full transparency, and all commissions and fees are clearly disclosed in every quote we provide.

Generally, insurers charge the same premium whether you deal with them directly or through an advisor. When you work with us, we handle all administration, processing, and claims management on your behalf. In many cases, we can also access discounts and additional policy benefits that aren’t available when dealing directly with an insurer.

Why should I use an insurance advisor instead of arranging insurance myself?

Using an advisor saves you time, reduces complexity, and gives you peace of mind that your cover is correct. We compare policies, negotiate on your behalf, and ensure you’re properly protected — often at a lower cost.

In a world where insurance is becoming increasingly complex, it makes sense to let an advisor shop around, compare covers, and secure the best deal for you.

How many insurers do you have access to?

We have access to over 100 insurers globally, along with a wide network of specialist underwriting agencies. Through our connection with Resilium, and the broader Envest and Aviso networks, we benefit from extensive market reach, exclusive schemes, and access to niche underwriting solutions that aren’t available to the general market. As members of NIBA, we also operate under industry best‑practice standards and maintain strong relationships across the insurance sector.

This breadth of access — including major insurers such as CGU, Allianz, QBE, Vero and Zurich — allows us to compare a wide range of options and secure the most suitable and competitive solution for your needs.

Can you review my current insurance?

Yes. We’ll do all the work and make the process simple. We’ll review your existing cover, provide advice, ensure you’re getting the same or better protection, and in many cases save you money as well.

Which insurance products do I need?

That depends on your circumstances, and your needs may change over time. The best approach is to speak with one of our advisors so we can develop a risk profile and recommend the products that best suit your situation.

How do I make a claim?

Each insurer has their own process, so the best thing to do is contact us and we’ll work through it with you. In most cases, we can manage the claim on your behalf. We’ll make the process as simple and efficient as possible and ensure you receive everything you’re entitled to.
